Short answer: To watch Turkish TV in a Tesla in Germany or elsewhere in Europe, open tescast.app in the car browser and scan the QR code with your phone. tescast relays 90 Turkish channels from its server in Istanbul, so the channel list is the same outside Turkey. The interface is Turkish and prices are in lira.

tescast is a web app that plays live TV, YouTube and your own IPTV list in the Tesla browser. If you live in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria or another European country, you use the same channel list as in Turkey. You need no satellite dish, set-top box or app.

Why do Turkish channels work outside Turkey?

The tescast server in Istanbul receives the Turkish channels. Your car only connects to tescast.app and gets the stream from there. So TRT 1, ATV, Kanal D, Show TV and the other channels show up in the same list wherever you are. See the full channel list.

Some broadcasters do not show some programmes, often football matches, on their internet stream. The channel then shows a "no broadcast rights" screen. tescast does not get around this. The same happens in Turkey.

How do I set it up?

  1. Open tescast.app in the browser on your Tesla's front screen.
  2. Scan the QR code with your phone.
  3. Create an account and choose a plan.
  4. The car is linked. Next time, tescast opens directly.

You can try it in your car for 5 minutes for free. If you agree to campaign e-mails when you sign up, the trial is 10 minutes. No card is needed.

How much does it cost, and can I pay in euros?

There is one plan: 199 TL a month or 1.199 TL a year. Prices are in Turkish lira. You pay by card through Stripe, and your bank converts the amount to euros. Cancel at any time. If tescast does not work in your car, ask for a refund within 14 days.

What else is included?

  • World TV: The country button in Live TV opens free public channels from more than 140 countries.
  • YouTube: Search, subscriptions and likes. You can link your YouTube account.
  • Your own IPTV list: Add an M3U or Xtream list from your phone. tescast does not sell lists or content. Only add a list you have the right to use.

What internet connection do I need?

The car needs Premium Connectivity, Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot. A 720p stream uses about 1.2 GB an hour.

Does it play while driving?

Yes. Playback continues when the car moves, so passengers can keep watching. The driver must keep their eyes on the road. Follow the traffic rules of the country you drive in.
